A provocation is an action designed to lure the opponent into making a predictable action that you can exploit. A good provocation yields both a predictable what (parry, attack, etc), and a predictable when. In this series we'll explore how to use various provocations both in gioco largo (wide play) and gioco stretto (narrow play).
