Powerful Wide Play 2: Mastering the Measure

Playing the wide game (gioco largo) requires that you have a keen sense of measure and the capacity to enter into your opponent’s measure both powerfully and cleverly.

In this course you'll learn how to clear the sword of an opponent who doesn’t want to be cleared and set up your movement into measure through compound actions.

We'll cover:

• Footwork for staying just out of your opponent's reach
• How to lure an opponent in while keeping your most effectively distance
• Multi-clearing actions
• How to work from a bind (where the opponent has parried you) to create wide play
