With longsword today we’re working on a traditional longsword technique called the breaking of the thrust where you cast down an oncoming thrust to open the opponent for counter-attack. With rapier we’re continuing our theme of renewing attacks with an exercises that emphasizes smooth recoveries and second intention attacks.
