Advanced Tempo Applications

Learn how to take, induce, and steal the four core moments when an opponent is most vulnerable: when they step in, change guards, attack, and recover.

In this series you’ll explore how to spot and control the four moments when your opponent is most vulnerable:

  • Primo tempo – As the opponent steps in, out, or freezes.
  • Due tempi – As the opponent recovers from your defence.
  • Contro tempo – As the opponent attacks.
  • Mezzo tempo – As the opponent prepares to attack or changes guard.

You’ll learn how to use these moments to seize control and strike in various ways as well as how to induce your opponent to give you one of these tempos on your terms.
