Longsword in Armour

Learn to use the longsword against an opponent in full harness. Target weak places in the armour, use the sword to grapple, and master the 6 armoured poste.

The longsword is a versatile weapon that can be used in one hand, two, or held with one hand at the blade in a mode known as Halfswording. In this series you’ll learn how to use all three modes to apply the longsword against an opponent who is wearing full harness.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Target weak places in the armour.
  • Use the halfswording grip to parry and control the opponent’s weapon.
  • Integrate the six armoured poste.
  • Use the longsword as a tool for grappling.
