Delivered in January 2022, in this seminar Devon takes participants through a series of levels of control starting with finding and gaining and progressing to recovering control, deception, and adaptation.
In Part 2 Devon expands the pedagogy of control into applications from and into the four quadrants. Then students explore how to maintain control, recovery control, and create complex drills that challenge and expand ones ability to control and challenge the control of others.
In part 3 of the Chicago Seminar we take a turn from the mechanical focus of the first two parts and get into the process of sizing up an opponent first based on their mechanical actions and then based on their tactical attitudes. Great summary of our tactical system and some useful exercises to practice it.
In-depth instruction, drills, and exercises on all 10 strategies. In this workshop you’ll learn how to keep the rapier free, lure the longsword opponent into playing your game, and protect yourself when everything goes wrong.
