Opinions on Helm
Does anyone have experience with Windrose Armoury’s Fiore Sparring Helmet? I’m looking at changing up my gear and currently shopping head protection. @devonboorman @GregR et al.

I have tried prototypes of both of those. I like them. They also have throat coverage issues that either need to be met with a bevor or some kind of aventail.
Construction wise they’re great.

I seem to recall these types of helms hanging around Academie Duello back when I was there. @devonboorman probably has more to say about it. I’ve not done any “heavy” armoured fighting with kit like that.

Yes I have one. I like it. Good visibility and cover. Though I recommend getting the chain aventail even for non-armoured combat. The cloth one does not provide adequate coverage for the throat as it doesn’t stay down well enough.
