Both of today’s drills dive into underutilized sword positions namely bicornu (and overhand grip with the base hand on the longsword), and prima with the rapier (knuckles up). The focus is on the manual dexterity required too quickly and comfortably move into and out of these positions. These types of transitions require lots of practice to develop the hand strength and finger coordination needed to make them smooth.
